Schema markup validator
Paste a URL or a JSON-LD block. Every typed item is checked against the required and recommended properties for rich results, in a few seconds.
Structured data is one of thirty checks
Broken schema usually travels with broken titles, canonicals and sitemaps.
Our free SEO check crawls up to 25 pages of the site and scores 30 technical checks, structured data included, then names the three issues that cost the most.
FAQ
- What does this validator check?
- It reads every JSON-LD block on the page (or the markup you paste), walks @graph and nested items, and grades each typed item against the required and recommended properties Google documents for rich results. It also flags invalid JSON, relative URLs and dates that are not ISO 8601.
- Is a page without errors guaranteed rich results?
- No. Valid markup makes a page eligible; Google still decides whether to show a rich result based on content quality and the query. Missing required properties, though, rule a page out.
- Does it check microdata or RDFa?
- No, only JSON-LD, which is the format Google recommends. If a page uses microdata or RDFa, the tool says so instead of grading it.
- Which schema types matter most for a small business site?
- Organization or LocalBusiness on the home page, BreadcrumbList on inner pages, FAQPage where you answer real questions, and Product or Service on what you sell. Those four cover most of what search engines and AI answers use.
